Soaking it all in

I'm trying to be a sponge... it's frustratingly slow sometimes, but when I look back it is encouraging. The first attempts are so tentative with the strokes, and I didn't grasp the form as wheel as I am coming to now.

I'm not really as happy with these last ones however. I have to make busy tonight.

On concepts: Sometimes I really have no concept but the faintest of the direction or concept behind a drawing. I just let it guide itself. I wish I could work better from an idea to completion, but I can't very well yet.
